Principal's Message
Hello Preschool families! Happy Friday!
What a fun week! We have been so busy! We had a lesson on Dental Hygiene and then had our ORFD here to practice fire safety. We practiced getting out of a house if there is a fire, learned about stop, drop, and roll, and to crawl below the smoke. We also learned that every family should have an escape plan that all family members know and understand. Families should establish a “meeting place” outside of the home and at a safe distance. As an example, plan to meet at a tree in the front yard. Having a plan and practicing it can save lives!
Our 4-year-olds will be visiting their elementary schools beginning the week of May 6th. I encourage you to meet your child at the school to experience this visit with them.
Monday, May 6th: Linden
Tuesday, May 7th: Woodland
Thursday, May 9th: Glenwood
Monday, May 13th: Willow Brook—going in two groups that morning—be sure to check which group your child will be in!
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held the week of May 13-17. Your child’s teacher will be contacting you to schedule your final conference for the year.
One reminder: Please remember that students are not permitted to wear flip-flops or other shoes that do not have a back on them. This is for your child’s safety. We appreciate your cooperation!
We are enrolling now for next school year. Please spread the word to your friends and family that the time is here to enroll for preschool for next year!
Have a wonderful weekend!

From Nurse Kelly
Hello parents! Nurse Kelly is still working on getting forms for both physicals/shot records and dental exams out to students who have none on record, expired, or are about to expire. If you receive a form from Nurse Kelly, please complete the highlighted portion of the dental form and all of the sections of the medical release and return as soon as possible. If your student does not have a dentist or a primary care provider, please contact Nurse Kelly and she can help get your child seen. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Nurse Kelly at 865-425-9143 or kcjones@ortn.edu
