Summary Paragraph
The game of Go was very popular throughout East Asia since its conception. Europeans had written counts of the game from the 16th century, but it wasn't until a German scientist wrote about the paper toward the end of the 19th century did it become popular. Go gradually was spread to the US where it was relatively popular, however much of the Go activity stopped because of WWII. I think that Europeans might have given the credit of the invention of the game to someone else because it was probably more accepted by Europeans if it was presented by a European.
Most important thing I have learned is the how easily an invention can be misunderstood as being invented by someone else. I think its important that people understand where inventions come from so they can appreciate what other cultures bring to the world.
