Please read the following announcements carefully as well as any attached flyers.
New Dismissal Process
Greetings Parents,
We will be using a new program for dismissal beginning September 14, 2015. The program we will be using is Driveline by Charter Apps.
Driveline uses a number system that groups students by family. Each family will be issued their own number by the school. Parents will then
attach the number to your existing car plate. We will have the number stickers available for parents to sign out in the front office from 7:30 am
– 4:30 pm on Tuesday 09/08/2015 for grades KG – 3rd, Wednesday 09/09/2015 for grades 4th – 7th, and Thursday 09/10/2015 for grades 8th -
11th. We are making this policy change to help alleviate some of the traffic issues we have been experiencing. We need your help and
cooperation in making this new system effective. Please make sure you are arriving at the proper times to pick up your children: KG – 3rd grade
dismissal begins at 2:45 pm, 4th & 5th grade dismissal begins at 2:57 pm, and 6th – 11th grade dismissal begins at 3:41 pm. If you have children in
multiple grade levels, you may pick them up together during the oldest sibling’s dismissal time. If you have any questions regarding this new
policy, please call the front office at 214-321-0100.

All requests for 4-5th grade must be made to Ms. Chung (ychung@harmonytx.org) and 6-11th requests must be made to Mr. Abaci (eabaci@harmonytx.org) on or before this deadline. Thank you for your understanding.
CALLING ALL WRITERS IN 7TH-11TH GRADES!
The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy has invited students from our school to enter into an essay contest for their annual Celebration of Reading, and they want to hear from you! This year's essay contest is centered around "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. It is the story of Leisel Meminger, a nine-year-old orphan growing up in Germany during World War II, whose life is changed by a love of books and reading. There are many cool prizes at stake, including a special breakfast for finalists with the author of the novel! If you are interested in entering the contest and would like more details, please contact your grade-level ELA teacher or Mrs. Hare (chare@harmonytx.org). The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 25th, 2015.
