Principal's Update
Wow - where does the time go? Monday officially marks the end of the first grading period. With 9 weeks under our belt, routines have been established and our "new normal" is just normal now.
I want to take a minute to say goodbye to any of our families who are moving to an in-person model and hello to all of our new virtual families. Monday is the big day and we hope everyone continues seeing success in their new placements.
I also want to take a minute to wish one of our paras a happy retirement. Mrs. Werkmeister will officially retire after school on Monday. It has been a pleasure working with her these last nine weeks and we wish her nothing but the very best as she moves into the next stage of her life.
Eden Hall parents - Please sign up for a time slot to have your child's picture taken here.
K-3 parents - the deadline to email your Halloween costume (or favorite fall) photos of your child to your homeroom parent is TODAY. Please be sure to send those over so your child can be included in our virtual parade. Videos will be sent to all families next week. If you have any questions, please reach out to the homeroom coordinator or your child's teacher.
This upcoming week is sure to be fun. First, please remember there is no school on Friday. Teachers will be involved in professional development throughout the morning and have time to prepare upcoming lessons or hold conferences in the afternoon. Conferences will continue to occur the following Monday and Tuesday while the students rest, relax, and rejuvenate from all of their hard Halloween work.
Be sure to read below to see our daily spirit themes as we enter into Red Ribbon Week. It promises to be a blast - ending with wearing our Halloween costumes to school on Thursday. I can't wait to see what everyone wears. Please remember that all costumes should adhere to the following rules: no masks, no weapons, and nothing that will cause a distraction. That is a lot of "no's" but there is one big YES - FUN!
Lots of new information is included this week, please let me know if you have any questions.
I look forward to a great week!
Happy Friday!

Student Code of Conduct
- I used my child's clever badge and signed on to his school Chromebook.
- On the main landing page, I clicked on his Google Calendar.
- Inside of the calendar, I was able to select Gmail from the 9 dot "waffle" icon in the top right corner, which was automatically signed in to his account.
- Once I had access to my child's email account, I scrolled through to find an email sent to him on August 19th with his Sapphire credentials.
- I stayed on his computer and went back to the main page that opened when I used his clever badge.
- In the white menu at the top, there is a link to log on to the Sapphire Community Portal.
- After signing in, The Code of Conduct was the first thing that popped up, so we were able to review and sign it from his account.
Be Happy. Be Brave. Be Drug Free.

K-3 Specials Update
- Library, Computers, and Phys Ed will remain the same - students will access the menu of options. The Google Form will still be used to submit the activities.
- Art and Music teachers will be inviting all students to a Google Classroom. The activities will be housed here. Students will be able to access the materials, directions, and other supplementals as well as turn in their work through the Google Classroom.
- Students should be completing one special area activity each week as opposed to each month. This more closely aligns to what they are doing in school and will allow the students to remain on pace with the curriculum.
More details will be provided next Friday as well as communicated through your classroom teacher. This new way will begin on Wednesday, November 4.
