The Gator Gazette
April 8 - April 12
Hello Gators!
Hello Spring! GMS is deep in the Spring season as 4th QTR classes begin and we begin to wrap-up State Assessments. Students that missed any of the IAR Assessment sessions will be completing make-up sessions through this week.
As we prepare to finish the 23.24 school year on a strong note, please assist us in supporting your student; please ensure that your student:
- Arrives to GMS on time - Late Bell rings at 7:50am
- Has their Chromebook charged and ready for the school day
- Reviews class lessons each night - Ask your student to explain what they learned that day
- Completes assignments on time
UT Basketball Camp Forms are attached below!
The Bethany Mobile Dental Clinic will visit Glenview on Wednesday, May 22. This is to provide dental services to children who are uninsured or cannot find a dental provider who accepts Medicaid. Please contact the GMS Main Office at 309.755.1919 if you would like your GMS student to participate.
Glenview Middle School 3rd Annual Multicultural Family Day will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 11:00am - 2:00pm.
How can you help make this day a success?
We are extending an invitation for you to join us in celebrating our families!
Please consider partnering with us in one of the ways listed below, or your own creative way.
- Host a table that includes artifacts, information, and possibly a hands-on activity representing a country, culture or ethnic group you would like to highlight.
- Host an informational table with details on how your agency/organization serves our diverse community.
- Entertain our guest with a short performance celebrating your groups heritage and/or culture.
- Provide an onsite service to our families who are attending that day. Legal counsel, health screenings related to issues that most effect ethnic groups, housing opportunities, self-empowerment, GED/college completion.
- Host a table of food/drink samples.
- Make a donation to be used for door prizes– gift cards, family themed baskets, monetary, free services, etc.
- Your idea. We are open to it!
