Ms. Tara Rufo will be Lowell's Next Assistant Principal
Dear Lowell School,
I am delighted to introduce Ms. Tara Rufo, who will be joining our school as Assistant Principal in July. Tara brings with her 19 years of valuable experience in the education field, having most recently served as the Social Emotional Behavior Coach at Framingham Public Schools. Her expertise in prioritizing the social and emotional well-being of students and staff is commendable. In addition to her coaching role, Tara has a strong foundation in curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices, gained from her 16 years as a classroom teacher.
Tara also holds experience as a district trainer in restorative interventions, specializing in various restorative practices such as restorative conversations, circles, and mediations. Her skills in student problem-solving conferences and behavior coaching further enhance her ability to support our school community effectively.
We are confident that Tara's diverse skill set will greatly benefit our students, teachers, and families. Please join me in welcoming her to our team with open arms.
With appreciation,
Stacy
Message from Tara Rufo
My philosophy for the past 20 years is that “People Do Better When They Feel Better” and that has been the core of what drives me to promote the importance of students’ and staffs’ social and emotional health’s value in the progression of academic gain. I am thrilled to have the honor to continue this mission as the new Assistant Principal at the Lowell School. I was incredibly impressed by the positive environment of the Lowell School as I toured and viewed engaged friendly students and skilled dedicated educators working together. I am beyond excited to become a member of this community!
