Gallatin High Update
Week of 12/14-12/18/2020
General Overview
Per the Board of Trustees' decision earlier this semester, Bozeman and Gallatin High Schools are scheduled to move to a full week of in-person learning for students on January 27, 2021. Also earlier this year, the District asked parents to indicate their preference for in-person versus remote learning if and when schools moved to a full week in person.
Once we return from break, a newly formed taskforce, comprised of professional educators and health officials, will provide data to the Board for their consideration. The work of the BSD7 COVID Task Force will help guide central office recommendations to the Board of Trustees regarding instructional model changes at a grade band and/or district level. The Board of Trustees will be discussing the high schools' upcoming move to full-time in-person learning at its January 11 meeting.
Some of you have reached out with questions about your student's learning choice for second semester. Please know that we will be asking you in mid January to officially confirm whether you want your student to attend in person or remotely for second semester.
Upcoming Events
There will not be a finals week schedule this year. Students will take final assessments in their regular blended model schedule.
Don't forget there are high school PIR days on Monday, January 18th, Monday, January 25th and Tuesday, January 26th.
