Specific Information for the Cen10 2024 Graduating Class
Senior Class Information
Dear Senior Students and Parents,
The newsletter has been updated with information regarding required senior tasks to complete prior to graduation, graduation practice date, graduation ceremony details, and more senior celebrations from our elementary and middle feeder schools.
Also, please remember that:
- Thursday May 16th will be a full day of school
- Friday May 17th will be a half day
Cap & Gowns Delivered - April 9
Cap and Gowns were delivered on April 9th.
Dress code for graduation is simply to wear nice clothes under the graduation gown (no jeans or t-shirts). There will be a floor down on top of the artificial turf this year, so heels and wedges may be ok, but stiletto style shoes are not recommended due to the possibility of getting stuck in the small spaces between the flooring. Flats and dress shoes are highly recommended (really anything flat will be allowed besides tennis shoes).
Do not write or draw on your graduation cap! This is a FISD rule.
If you did not pick up your cap and gown, please stop by the principal's office to see Ms. Severding. You will need a school ID or driver's license to pick up.
If you have any questions, you can call the Jostens office at 214-383-9502. You can also reach out to our Campus Secretary Laura Severding at severdil@friscoisd.org if you have any questions or concerns.
βRequired Senior Tasksβ
Video Explanation of Required Tasks
FAFSA Graduation Requirement β All Texas seniors must complete and submit a financial aid application OR an opt-out form in order to graduate. (Opt out information on slide 26)
Peace Officer Training - The Community Safety Education Act requires Texas high school students to participate in Flashing Lights and learn how to safely interact with police officers during traffic stops. Students can access this course in their Canvas accounts. All portions of this class are required for completion. (Begin Now)
Senior Survey District Requirement β Seniors should complete this survey once they have decided on their plans for next year. If they earned any scholarships, they should have the exact name and award amount handy. This information is simply used to calculate the total dollar amounts awarded to the Class of 2024. It will not be tied to the student in any published information.

Senior Chromebook/charger collection
The end of the school year is just around the corner. Itβs time to prepare the FISD Chromebook that was checked out to you. Locate the Chromebook and charger.
Remove any stickers or labels that you may have added. Leave any FISD labeling in place.
Rubbing alcohol can be used to remove sticky residue from the case.
If cleaning the screen, use a soft microfiber cloth or cleaner specially designed for an LCD.
If a touchscreen Chromebook cannot be located, contact the CHS Area Tech, Mrs. Lopez at LopezRa@friscoisd.org to have the replacement fee added in Online School Fees.
If a charger has been lost, you can purchase a Dell USB-C 65-Watt Chromebook charger from Amazon, Best Buy, etc. or can request for Mrs. Lopez (LopezRa@friscoisd.org) to have the charger fee added in Online School Fees.
If your Chromebook and/or charger is not returned, you will be added to the Hold List until the replacement fee is paid or the item is located and turned in.
Centennial High School Chromebook and charger return schedule:
Seniors
Mon, May 6 & Tue, May 7 - Return Chromebooks and chargers in the Titan Library during English class. If not on campus for English, return to the Titan Library 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
Thu, May 9 - Seniors missing a Chromebook and/or charger added to the Hold List
AP Exams - Seniors taking an AP Exam can turn in their Chromebook and charger after their final AP Exam is finished. These students will not be added to the Hold List unless their Chromebook and charger are not returned by the afternoon following their last AP Exam.
If you are a Senior and need your Chromebook to complete missing work in a class, talk with your teacher about options to keep the Chromebook a little longer.
