NOTE FROM PRINCIPAL MILLER
Our schools will remain closed this week and we will continue to have virtual office hours from 9 AM to 1 PM daily Monday through Friday.
Attention current 7th grade students and parents, exploratory registration for next year continues this week. All information and materials needed for registration were posted in your child’s Google Classroom last Monday. Please review the exploratory descriptions, and complete, sign, and submit the exploratory selection form by Friday, April 3. Please note the form requires an electronic parent signature.
Please know we are doing our best with our Distance Learning for students, and we know you are doing your best when assisting at home. Our teachers know and understand that each student may be facing an entirely different situation at home, and we are here for you and your children. Please check in with your child to ensure they are completing the work and check in with our teachers who can provide information and resources to help manage the work. Our teachers are professional, kind, and compassionate and want to be supportive.
We are working through the information on grading, and we will find a way to value the work your child has done without penalizing any student. Our commitment to you is that your child’s grade for the 3rd 9 weeks will not be negatively impacted. It will either remain the same or improve
I can’t tell you how much we miss you all, but I can tell you we have had a teacher change her mind about retirement, another say she will never complain about lunch duty again, and yet another cry on the phone with me because she loves and misses her students and was in the middle of her best year yet. We all care so much about our CMS family, so reach out to us if we can help in any way and remember, “we may not have it all together, but together we have it all.”
The well-being of our students and families is most important to us, so we want to remind you once again to take care of yourself and take care of each other.
Please see our website and social media for more information on these events and all things CMS and remember our theme this year and Be Your Best.
As always, we are Respectful, Responsible, and Remarkable!
We aRe Chapin!
