Governor General Proclaims LIBRARY AND INFORMATION WEEK 2016
The Governor General of Jamaica recently proclaimed October 30 to November 5, 2016 Library and Information week.. This proclamation lends official recognition to the importance of libraries to our society and to the work of library and information professionals and confirm commitment to the cause. This is timely as we seek to embark on our "Libraries Matter" campaign to promote the roles and services of libraries through approaches aimed at increasing our visibility and raising our profile. We appeal to all library and Information professionals, users and supporters of libraries locally and internationally to support this week by posting and sharing the wonderful work of libraries in our beloved country. #welovethatlibrariesmatterja
