PONY NEWS NOVEMBER 14TH
HELLO PONIES- A LITTLE TO SHARE ABOUT Ms. MICHAEL
Faith. Family. Education. Friends. These are just a few of the most important things in my life.
I met my amazing husband, Alan, as an 18 year old freshman at Dallas Baptist University. Knowing since first grade that I wanted to become a teacher, I graduated early with a degree in Elementary Education with a Certification in Reading and in Early Childhood. Alan graduated with a degree in Biblical Studies with a minor in Greek. The day after graduation we were married at the mature age of 21 and couldn't have ever dreamed of the many blessings God would bring our way! :)
I have been teaching for 15 years, always loving the opportunity to work with students with learning difficulties. I have taught in public, private, and university-model schools, and even homeschooled my own three girls the past three years. Coming back into traditional education this year, I had no idea the blessings that would come my way...but I could not be more excited for the opportunity to serve as a Dyslexia Interventionist with LISD.
Alan and I have been married for 20 years this August! We have 3 beautiful girls: McKenna who is 16, Libbie who is 14, and Ashton who is 13. Life with these girls is so fun and never boring. I love doing life alongside my precious husband, who is a pastor in Flower Mound. And I count it a privilege to serve our students at LVES!
