LVJUSD Reminder: Safety First When Sharing the Road with Young Pedestrians
Pick-up and drop-off times can be hectic for our parents and students, but it’s important to be patient and stay safe as children are getting to and from school. Please remember speed limit is 25 mph within 500 feet of a school while children are outside or crossing the street. Some school zones may have speed limits as low as 15 mph. For more safety tips click here.
Read a Thon Raises Over $25,000!
Wow, Labradors. Wow. You all are so completely amazing and have raised over $25,000 in this year’s Read a Thon. Because of your donations, the final set of tables have been ordered for the lunch quad and plans are in action for summer work for both the lunch quad and the kinder playground. We’ve also been able to expand the project to not just include a safe lunch-eating area, but a fabulous new native garden surrounding it! We will be having a special Cartoons, Costumes and Cookies assembly in April where students will be encouraged to dress as or wear clothing featuring their favorite cartoon characters! Other top prizes include…
Top Three Earning Classes
Mrs. Ford’s Third Grade Class $2,750
Mrs. Johnson’s Kindergarten Class $2485
Miss Marcinkowski’s Fourth Grade Class $2,253
These three classes will be earning a pizza party very soon. Your teachers will send out details once we get them figured out.
