Preparing for the School Year: Thank You
Thank you to our community for choosing our on-campus or Virtual Academy model for next year. We had approximately 80% of families request the on campus option, with 20% requesting the Virtual Academy. We've been working tirelessly throughout the past week and through the weekend to build student schedules. Thank you for your continued patience as we go through this process.Principals will update the community when schedules are ready and available.
Our next community Webinar to provide updates will be Wednesday August 5th at 3:00 PM. The webinar will be hosted at LVUSDUpdates.org.
In the meantime, please enjoy the remaining weeks of your summer break.
LVUSD Community 360 App Now Available
LVUSD developed a brand new app that is now available through Android and Apple platforms. The app links to free local counseling services so that families have a direct point of contact if they feel the need to talk to a mental health professional. Resources relating to food access, health supports, and updates on changing circumstances will occur through the app and our Website and Social media accounts.
There is a direct link to download the app on the homepage at Community360.me.
Anti-Racism Resources Now Available
LVUSD strives to provide our students and staff with the appropriate tools to empower greater cultural proficiency. We strive to create an anti-racist culture through examining tenets of social justice, implicit and explicit bias, and blind spots, all on a path of change and growth.
Family Meals Available this Summer
Beginning June 15th and throughout the Summer, meal distribution will occur on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00am-12:00pm at AE Wright Middle School.
Parents may pick up the meals on behalf of their students; students are not required to be present. When a parent comes for pick up, they may take two days of meals for each student in their family. Please bring a bag or box if possible.
