WEBINAR: What Does Stress Look Like in School-Age Children
With TCPS Mental Health Coordinator Dr. Rob Schmidt
WEBINAR: What does stress look like in school-age children?
Imagine how the world around us has changed and seemingly is spinning faster than when you were in school compared to what our children are now experiencing. Children today are being exposed to instant informational gratification, college or work decisions, academic/sport pressures, and social media, which is contributing to increased stress and anxiety-related symptoms. This webinar will explore how stress may impact a child’s development, mental health, and self-reported sources of perceived stress while reviewing supportive intervention options.
You are invited to a Zoom webinar.
When: Mar 27, 2024 02:30 PM
Topic: What Does Stress Look Like In School-Age Children?

The Science of Kindness and Drug Prevention
TCPS Substance Abuse Intervention and Prevention Specialist Madison Elliott is presenting a lesson on the Science of Kindness to our elementary students this Spring. Students learn how simple acts of kindness can actually change our brains for the better, while drug use has the opposite effect. The lesson provides fun, hands-on activities encouraging students to be kinder to themselves and those around them.
