DATA Staff Summer Newsletter
August 2018
Welcome to the New School Year
Summer vacation is winding down and it is time to start thinking about the upcoming school year at DATA. Last school year was tough due to the fire and other unexpected events that impacted our plans and efforts. Despite the setbacks we persevered and completed the school year successfully. Although difficult, the events of last year undoubtedly made us stronger as a site and staff. We are ready to move on now and continue with the important work of educating and preparing our students.
This year we will continue striving towards our mission through the use of dedicated Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) at DATA. We will work to learn from each other and implement best practice in our teaching through focused, purposeful and regular collaboration. We will utilize common learning goals, pacing, formative assessments and data within departments and grade levels to guide our planning and instruction. With dedication and focused effort we will afforded our students the best opportunities to learn and succeed in the upcoming school year.
