Bright Stars: Freedom Songs Assembly
Thank you PTA for sponsoring the Bright Stars Assembly to celebrate Black History Month!
Bright Stars: Freedom Songs Assembly
6th grade students spent the month of February in Music class learning about Blues and how the Blues came about from work songs, escape songs, and spirituals. Our "Freedom Songs" Assembly was a perfect way to recap our unit as we celebrated how the music from the past has inspired the music of today!
Bright Stars: Freedom Songs Assembly
The assembly connected to the Black History Month Theme of Art/Music which was a daily trivia and connected to our 6th grade text about Jamestown!
