Superintendent's Message
March 21, 2024
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As the weather begins to turn warmer, Spring Break marks a time for renewal, planting, and planning for the future growth that is sure to come!
As a District, we have continued to plant seeds for our own future growth, as was shared in a Facilities Master Plan presented and accepted by our Board of Education this past December. This plan identifies and prioritizes districtwide facility needs and proposed solutions, with a special focus on safety and security, building infrastructure, and classroom upgrades.
The District has also been carefully evaluating our need to enhance student access to mental health services and reduce class sizes.
This spring, the District will be gathering the community’s feedback on a funding proposal that may appear on the November 2024 ballot to address important building and operating challenges, without imposing a net tax rate increase. Many months of planning have gone into this proposal, and we are excited to share it with you.
Future updates will focus on our planning efforts completed to date, details about the proposed improvements, and how you can provide input on the funding proposal.
Our goal is to keep you informed and engaged. These are your schools, and your voice is important as we discuss how to protect and improve them.
Have a relaxing Spring Break!
Sincerely,
Adrian B. Talley, Ed.D.
Superintendent
