Ground Education: Meet the Teacher
Ms. Katie has joined us at Roosevelt to help teach students about the benefits of growing and maintaining our school garden! Ms. Katie grew up and went to school in Colorado, there she was able to get a degree in education. She moved to California in 2018 and taught at a school in Los Angeles. Because of her love of nature, Ms. Katie joined Ground Education and was excited about an opportunity to teach students about gardening. She believes that students will benefit greatly from learning outside because so much of the school day is spent indoors. She is grateful that she gets to teach students about the world around them and through this, students will learn more about themselves. Ms. Katie hopes every student learns how to take care of our Earth and make healthy decisions for the world, themselves, and each other. Thank you for your wisdom and dedication Ms. Katie!
Gardening tip from Ms. Katie that everyone could do TODAY : Plant some seeds and give them water!
