Puffs
The Fall Play, PUFFS, is in full swing rehearsing!!! The show dates for Puffs are Friday, November 4th and November 5th at 7:00 pm and Sunday, November 6th at 2:00 pm at MSE Spahr Auditorium. Show tickets are on sale for $10.00 each. Please see the QR code in the link below to purchase your tickets TODAY.
National Honor Society Invitations
Today students in grades 10-12 who are eligible to apply for admission to the National Honor Society (cumulative weighted GPA of 4.000 or higher as of the end of the last school year) will receive an email inviting them to apply. Students who choose to apply for the National Honor Society, will need to complete an application showcasing service, leadership, and character history. Selection for membership is based upon evidence provided in the application. Students should check their school email for the google classroom code in order to complete the application. The application will be posted on Monday, October 3 and the completed printed application is due to the main office no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, October 14. No exceptions.
Students who are selected to be a member must attend a mandatory induction meeting on October 27 at 2:30pm and the induction ceremony on November 10th from 7pm-9pm.
If there are any questions, it is imperative that the student contacts the National Honor Society advisors before the application is due. It is the student's responsibility to ask questions before submitting the application.

Homecoming Game Gift Collection
Power Packs will be collecting new, unwrapped toys and gifts at the Homecoming Game on October 14th. All collected items will go to families in our district who need assistance during the winter holidays.
Unity Day
NMTCC October 10 and 12
PV does not have school on Oct 10 and 12 however there is still school at NMTCC. (October 12 is PSAT day and those who are scheduled to take that exam will be in person at the HS- all else will be asynchronous)
Transportation is provided for both AM and PM technical students to attend their session at NMTCC. Since there is no school at PVHS a bus will pick up our NMTCC students at their respective bus stops. Bus information was sent to the parents of students who attend the morning session and the bus drivers informed PM students of their bus information.
Montgomery County PACAC College Fair
North Penn High School will host the 2022 Montgomery County PACAC College Fair on Tuesday, October 11th at 6pm in their Gymnasiums.

Special Education Resource Fair
Montgomery County Careers of Tomorrow Expo. - Tues.,10/25. 8:30-11am, Greater Phila. Convention Center
Montgomery County Careers of Tomorrow Expo. - Tues.,10/25. 8:30-11:30am, Greater Phila. Convention Center
This field trip opportunity is for 11th - 12th grade students.
This event is career-awareness focused and students will have the opportunity to explore activities, products, and services available in our community, learn about career pathways in various sectors including manufacturing and trades, health care, IT, education, energy, and more, and network with area employers and training providers to make connections for possible work-based learning experiences as well as job opportunities.
Students must return this permission form to the Counseling Office by 10/17 Careers of Tomorrow Permission Form.pdf to attend. Participation will be limited to 45 students and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Homecoming Dance 10/15
Students will be permitted to bring 1 guest who must be in at least 9th grade and cannot be 21 or older. Guests will need to submit a completed guest form to the main office by September 30th. Dance Guest Form
Volunteer Opportunities
The counseling department has created a list of potential ways that high school students can engage in community service. This list is intended to be a starting point and will continue to be updated. If you would like an organization or opportunity to be added to this list, please reach out to Mrs. Burdis, Career Counselor, at jburdis@pvsd.org.
PSAT October 12
PSATs will be offered Wednesday, October 14, 2022 for 10th and 11th graders. The cost of the test is $25. This will be an asynchronous day for non-test takers. For test takers, transportation will be provided and lunch will be available for purchase.
Students who are taking the exam will report to school at the normal time. Testing will be completed around noon. Transportation will be provided. Students will have the opportunity to purchase lunch prior to dismissal. Our low incidence students in Ms. Roche and Mrs. Bialoboki's classes will attend the entire school day and all other students who are not testing will be asynchronous.
NMTCC Students:
- AM students who are taking the test will not attend their tech program for that day.
- AM students who are NOT taking the test will attend their tech program as they normally do.
- PM students who are taking the test will be bussed to their tech program from PVHS.
- PM students who are NOT taking the test will be bussed to their tech program from home.

Picture Retakes and Make-ups
If students did not take their access code home on picture day, the parents will need to reach out to us at Support@Showstop.co (not .com) or 610.495.1900.
Regarding Underclass Pictures
Since the primary picture days have passed, the prepay website is closed. Parents will be able to order after retake day.
The final opportunity for underclassmen to be photographed and do retakes is next Tuesday October 11.
There are no appointments for underclass retakes. If they are doing a retake they must bring their original photo package to us next Tuesday and hand it to the photographer. Underclass who missed the original picture day and new students should come to us next Tuesday.
Regarding Senior Portraits:
Scheduling for missed appointments or retakes is done directly with us.
Parents need their access code to view their senior's portrait gallery. If they have lost it they should reach out to us.
The final opportunity for seniors to be photographed and do retakes is next Tuesday October 11.
First Annual Fall Colors 5K
The First Annual Fall Colors 5K will be hosted by Lenape Arboretum and PV Woods in partnership with Perkiomen Valley School District Foundation. Join us on Saturday, October 15th, for this 3.1-mile race starting at 9:00am at Perkiomen Valley Middle School East's campus, located at 100 Kagey Road, Collegeville.
Traverse PVMS East's beautiful campus as the Fall Colors 5K leads you through their cross-country course through Lenape Arboretum and over the athletic fields. Enjoy the beautiful fall scenery and a challenge as you run! In addition to the race, there will be fun activities for kids held by the Take Action club!
There are a few ways you can participate in the Fall Colors 5K:
- Individual 5K - do the 5K as an individual and receive a time. Includes a race t-shirt* and access to the Fun Zone.
- 5K Relay - a team of 5 participants will take on the 5K. Each teammate does a 1K. Create your team name, create and bring your baton, and make a uniform (optional!), but above all, have fun with your friends! Includes a race t-shirt for each participant* and access to the Fun Zone. You must register all five members at the time of registration. If you need to change team members, contact foundation@pvsd.org.
- Virtual 5K - if you cannot make the event or live far away, you can still participate! This option includes an event t-shirt mailed to you*.
Register before Friday, September 25th, to be guaranteed a 100% Recycled race t-shirt! For more race information, click here.

After School Buses
The after school buses will begin running on Tuesday, September 6th as follows :
Tuesday and Thursdays - 4:00 pm leaving from the bottom of the steps, student lot
Monday thru Thursdays - 5:00 pm leaving from the bottom of the steps, student lot
Students must fill out the google form the day they wish to take the bus.
