Building Projects
Menes designed and built the capital of the newly united Egypt. Menes decided to build the capital near the Nile because it is one of the only fertile areas of Egypt and the river made it easier for trade. The river was also very predictable so farmers could plant there crops around the time of the floods.

Menes introduced the worship of gods, and practice of sacrifice. He also introduced a more luxurious style of living. Some people say that Menes came up with Egypt's style of writing.
Downfall
Menes resigned after 62 years, and was killed by a Hippo.
