Nurse's News
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I wanted to take a moment to share some important updates regarding our school's illness policy and respiratory virus guidance.
The Boise School District has recently updated the Illness Policy and Respiratory Virus Guidance to match CDC guidelines and maintain the safety and well-being of our students and staff. You can access the full details of the updated illness policy and respiratory virus guidance on the Boise School District website here.
Here are some key points from the updated policy:
1. Illness Reporting and Attendance: If your child is feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of a respiratory virus, please keep them home from school.
2. Respiratory Virus Prevention: Encourage your child to practice good hygiene habits, such as washing hands frequently, covering coughs and sneezes, and avoiding close contact with individuals who are sick. These simple actions can help reduce the spread of respiratory viruses within our school community. Make sure to review the Respiratory Virus Guidance.
3. Immunizations: Staying up to date with routine vaccinations is essential to prevent illness from many different infections. COVID and Flu vaccines are available now from your care provider and pharmacies.
If you have any questions or concerns about the updated illness policy and respiratory virus guidance, please don't hesitate to reach out to the school administration or visit the Boise School District website for more information.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership in keeping our school community safe and healthy.
