Principal Post
March 22, 2024
Park Glen community,
We focused on RESPECT this week as it is the first and primary leadership trait we strive for at Park Glen. Students and teachers discussed how to respect peers, adults, supplies/school, the planet, animals, and self! Ask your child what it means to be respectful and see what they say!
The last 9 weeks is now upon us, which means our final leadership trait we are going to focus on teaching our students is the importance of HONESTY. Students who exemplify honesty during the final 9 weeks of school, will have the chance to earn the coveted yard sign during REACH rallies at the end of the year!
We are beginning the plans for next school year! The first step in this process is to gather feedback from you, the parents. To provide the best learning environment for your child and assist us in planning for next year, please complete the PGE Intent to Return 2024-2025 survey below no later than April 12, 2024.

The first week of April we will host not a dollar day, but a dollar week, to give kids a chance to pie a teacher! All week students can bring $1 for 1 vote ticket. Students can put their vote in ANY teachers bucket to get them to be pied! The teacher with the most votes in each grade or team will be pied! (flyer below). Charger the Cheetah pied Mr. Roub in the face this morning during our Cheetah Charge Up assembly, so your kids might tell you about it!
Special Reminder: PTA Board places are open for the running! If you want to get a little more involved with what's happening with our school and PTA, sign up below!
Don't forget, Spring Creek BBQ night is next week and we have The Big Event is April 6th. We are doing a gift card drive for that event (see below more info)
Lastly, the CHS Softball team is hosting a Charger Feeder Pattern night next Tuesday night! Kids get in free with their school shirt! (more info below)
Lastly again, KISD hosted another budget seminar, click the link below if you are interested in watching the recording. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuiBa5hx8jU

The Big Event is Coming to Park Glen on April 6!
Our school has an exciting opportunity to participate in a district wide service project called
The Big Event on Saturday, April 6th.
Park Glen Elementary will be creating gratitude goody bags for community members who help our students every day. Prior to the event, we will collect items from each grade level to add to the bags. On the day of the event, we will work together to create thank you cards and goody bags.
These goody bags will be gifted to the following community helpers:
- The Firefighters from Station 31
- The North Fort Worth Neighborhood Police Officer Team, including Officer Simpson
- KISD Security Team, including Spencer Bonomo
- The Staff at Cook Children's Urgent Care Alliance
- Crossing Guards
- Campus Delivery Drivers
- Republic Service Waste Management Team
We need your help! You can help by:
donating items to your grade level collection. Click the Big Event Donation Sign-Up Genius link to sign up to help your child's grade level meet their goals.
volunteering on April 6th from 9-11AM in the PGE cafe to create thank you notes and put together goody bags for the community helpers. Click here to sign up to volunteer. Click here to watch the helpful "How-To" video with directions/instructions to sign-up if needed.
volunteering at another KISD school your children attend to help support the overall district wide event.
I know the Park Glen Community always comes together to support and uplift those around them. Thank you for always being ready to help our campus and community. I am looking forward to seeing all of the great things we accomplish together.
