Important Attendance Reminders
Please note that if your child misses in-person instruction for the day, this will be treated as a typical in-school absence. Moving forward, teachers will assign makeup work upon a student’s return to in-person school. This means that in-person students will no longer be able to attend distance learning classes on the day of their absence. Should you have concerns about being able to consistently attend 4-days per week, please don’t hesitate to contact your teacher or me.
Important Pick Up and Drop-Off Reminders
Also, parents, please come to the gate to pick up your child. We will not release students if we do not see the parent. This includes our 4th and 5th grade gates. If your student has permission to walk home or ride their bike, please communicate that to their teacher.
Lastly, this is just a reminder that masks are required and must be worn by all adults when dropping off or picking up your child. We appreciate your support in keeping our students and community safe.
Be Seen and Heard Assembly
We invite you to attend a virtual parent information night to learn more about the Be Seen and Heard© program. The presenter, Victor Pacini, will lead parents through an overview of the program and will be available to answer questions. This presentation is open to ALL Union Elementary School District parents/guardians.

USD Writers and Artists Fair
Our students and teachers inspire us every day. We celebrate the opportunity to share select works here.
We encourage and invite all Union School District students to submit original art & literary works inspired by one of our four categories: Dreams and Aspirations, Grace and Gratitude, Hope and Kindness, and Courage and Strength. Examples of writing and art submissions include but are not limited to: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, music composition/performance, multimedia art, and digital art.
We look forward to receiving your submissions for our virtual showcase, formerly known as the USD Writer's Faire.
Student submissions will be accepted from now through Spring Break.
Submissions will then be reviewed and cataloged.
We will share a selection of entries in May.
