LMS Tiger Talk
October 7, 2022
Principal's Message
What a fun (and busy) Homecoming Week we've had here at LMS! It's been a blast seeing our students show up in their spirit gear all week and take part in the parade last night. The awesome Loveland community was certainly in full force! Here at school, we ended this fun week with an orange and black-filled pep assembly this afternoon. Let's Go Tigers as we take on Little Miami tonight. Hope to see you at the game!
We are looking forward to our family-teacher conferences coming up next week. Thank you to all those families that have signed up to connect with your child's teachers. We appreciate your partnership in support of our Tigers here at school.
Rumor has it that our Student Council is hosting a Fall Dance! The details can be found below. Thanks to our students and staff for planning this fun opportunity for some good, clean, fun for our Tigers!
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Supporting our Community Ambassadors goals here at LMS, please see below regarding an upcoming opportunity for our students and families we are calling, "Donuts with a Difference Maker". We need your help to make this happen in a special way for our students and their chosen, "difference maker". Any questions about this, please reach out directly to me.
Have a happy Homecoming weekend, everyone.
Take care and Go Tigers!

LMS Principal
8th Grade Music Night
We had an amazing night at Tiger Stadium last Friday with our 8th-grade band and choir joining in on the action varsity action! Even better...we brought home the 'W' against Turpin! Go Tigers!

Mr. Baugh’s students huddled up to discuss Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Cask of Amontillado” in class this week. These students did an awesome job supporting their ideas with evidence and challenging and extending each other’s thinking!

Donuts with a Difference Maker
LMS is excited to be hosting “Donuts with a Difference Maker” appreciation breakfasts throughout the month of October. Through their Tiger Time classes, students will be recognizing one family member “difference maker” to write a letter of appreciation to let them know the positive impact they have had on their life. This difference maker can be a parent, step-parent, grandparent, aunt/uncle, older sibling, or anyone else who your child calls "family". Our “difference makers” will be invited to attend an appreciation breakfast where students will have the opportunity to pass along their gratitude in person here at school.
For those "difference makers" who are not able to attend the breakfast, we will be mailing these letters directly to the difference maker's home address. These breakfasts will be organized by team and will occur from 7:30-8:00 on the following dates:
- Team LEAD: 10/19
- Elevate: 10/20
- Supreme Team: 10/21
- A-Team: 10/25
- The Crew: 10/26
- REAL Team: 10/27
We need your help! We will be rolling this project out with students starting on Tues, 10/11. Please speak with your child about this project and who they will be recognizing as their difference maker. We need your help to communicate this recognition with the family member being recognized, as well as confirm attendance and their address information. We are asking all parents/guardians to complete this form by Tues, 10/18 to communicate these details with us here at school.
Any questions, please feel free to reach out to us here at the school. Thank you for your support of our students being wonderful community ambassadors and giving back to those who have had such a positive impact on their lives!

Tori Morrison (Loveland family) lost her son, Ben, to suicide in March of 2021. Those left behind after such a traumatic event are frequently racked with intense guilt and shame. Tori, however, decided she wasn't going to let these emotions control her. Covering up what happened or simply remaining silent was not an option for her. Instead, she is using her heartbreaking experiences to help erode the stigma that surrounds those affected by mental health issues and suicide. Listen to the first installment of Enough! Stopping the Mental Health Stigma.
Help support the Ben Morrison fund here.
Congratulations to Mrs. Pitcher who won the raffle for 1 ticket to see Hamilton!! Thank you so much to our generous, anonymous donor for the ticket who made this possible!
