Panther Pause
21 years of Pride at Colleyville Heritage High School
12.8.17
Panthers,
It is amazing that we are so quickly approaching final exams and the end of the semester. To me, it seems like yesterday that I was speaking to a nervous group of freshman as they prepared to take on the high school experience at CHHS. As you may remember in October, all 9-11 graders took the PSAT exam. This is a huge measurement of the success of our campus as the National Merit Program selects their finalists off of the results of the 11th grade assessment. Those scores are set to come out next week. We are filled with PRIDE as we cannot wait to see and celebrate the successes of our students and teachers.
On Monday night this week, our band performed their Winter concert, and I was able to attend with the Groppel boys (my children), who were just in amazement of how talented our band students are. We look forward to a great rest of the year from the band as they continue in the All-State process. On Tuesday, we hosted the WFAA Santa's Helpers Toy Drive, and this was our first time to host such a great event! As you would expect, our community showed up in full force on such a cold evening to give back to those around the DFW metroplex. As you can see it is a great time to be a Panther. Have a great weekend and GO PANTHERS!!

Define what PRIDE means to you at CHHS.
To me, PRIDE means being involved and representing Colleyville Heritage High School in a positive way. I have had the privilege to be involved in many things at school such as PALS, Pep Boys, Water Polo and most recently, the Mr. CHHS show. Being so immersed in school activities has shown me what our school truly has to offer. Through these activities I have become more involved in school, and as a result, I have gained a greater sense of PRIDE because I know that through my involvement at school I have had an impact on Colleyville Heritage High School.
