EXCLUSIVE TUTORING OPPORTUNITY for ROBERTO CLEMENTE MIDDLE SCHOOL FAMILIES
Dear Roberto Clemente Middle School Families,
I hope this message finds you well. At Roberto Clemente Middle School, we are constantly seeking opportunities to support our students' academic growth and overall well-being. It is with great excitement that we announce a unique tutoring program, designed to enhance our students' learning experiences.
We have partnered with the esteemed Potomac Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, to offer a comprehensive tutoring and youth program tailored to our students' needs. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to academic excellence and our dedication to providing every student with the resources necessary to succeed.
We cordially invite all parents and guardians to participate in one of the upcoming orientation sessions to learn more about this wonderful opportunity:
- Hybrid Session: Monday, March 4, 2024, at 6:30 pm, at Roberto Clemente Middle School
Attendance at one of these sessions is mandatory for your child's participation in the program. While student attendance is optional, we encourage their presence to learn more about what the program offers. Additionally, we will be providing refreshments at the hybrid meeting.

Attention students:
Do you like to crochet or knit?
Crochet at GBC is offering the opportunity for you to do just this while helping a cause. We are making rectangles for Warm Up America. Once we have a sizable amount of rectangles to send, this organization will put them together to create blankets to give to the needy.
We will provide you with all that is needed to make these rectangles, all you need to do is show up and crochet or knit.
We meet every Monday during the school year. If there is no school on a Monday, we do not meet. We follow the MCPS calendar.
You can come anytime from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, come for both hours or for one. Come alone or bring a friend or 2! See flyer for additional information!
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions!

STUDENT ARRIVAL AND PICK-UP SAFETY REMIINDERS
With the increase of inclement weather that has come upon us, car ridership to and from school has increased. Parents and guardians driving their children are asked to use the Student Pickup/Dropoff loop at the side of the school by the tennis courts. It is asked that you do not use the staff/visitor lot in front of the school unless you need to park your car to escort your child into the building or you have an appointment with a staff member. Walkers and Ride On bus students are requested to use the sidewalk, going to and from school. Use marked crosswalk when at all possible and look both ways when crossing. This will help provide a safe arrival and dismissal for staff, visitors and students. Thank you for your help in keeping our community safe.
