AP Exam Ordering
Is your student taking an AP Course this year? If so, please see the important note below:
Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Methacton High School encourages that all students take AP exams for the AP classes that they have enrolled in. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition.
For the 2024 AP exams, students at Methacton High School will be registering online. Online Exam registration will begin on Thu, Sep 21, 2023 and end on Thu, Oct 12, 2023. The AP exam registration process is two steps, but both can be completed in one sitting when the student and parent/guardian do this together. Even if you do not plan to take the AP exam, you need to complete both steps to access the College Board’s AP resources. Both steps must be completed in order to have AP exams ordered:
Step 1: Begin the process by registering at www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/391366. Here you will indicate both the AP courses you are taking this year and the exams you wish to take.
You will receive your join codes and directions to complete the second required step from your AP teachers. Any exam fees will be paid online so be sure to have a debit card or credit card available before beginning registration.
Step 2: Use the join codes provided at the completion of step one to enroll the student's AP courses and exams in the College Board's system.
This year the majority of AP exams cost $102.00. Methacton High School desires that every student be able to take their AP exams. Students requiring financial assistance should contact Dr Paul Spiewak, pspiewak@methacton.org, in the HS East Wing Office to learn more.
Here are the important dates for the registration process:
- Sep 21, 2023 - Registration Opens
- Oct 12, 2023 - Registration Closes
- Nov 16, 2023 - LATE REGISTRATION- FEE: $40 per exam late fee for registrations

Color Wars
We had a great time during our Color Wars kickoff days! We will continue at our pep rally on Homecoming Day.
Quiet Lunch - A123
Did you know that we have a "Quiet Lunch" space this year? We are using room A123 as our "quiet lunch" for any student who prefers a quieter environment instead of the cafeteria or commons. A123 is located adjacent to the commons. If your student is interested in eating in there, please have them ask any lunch monitor to direct them to the room.
Car Line - Reminder
Car line drop off and pickup is a single line. Please do not make two lines. It is a safety issue for our students that are walking to the cars.
Previously Shared Information:
Military Opt-Out
The law permits recruitment offices of the United State military services to have access to class lists of public high school juniors and seniors. These class lists are used in recruitment efforts by the armed services. Information contained in these class lists includes student names, addresses and telephone numbers to be used to contact prospective enlistees.
Students and parents/guardians may elect to have their contact information excluded from the class lists provided to the military services. To have your student’s contact information excluded from the list provided to the military services, you must complete this form by Friday, September 29th.
