A Message from Mrs. Booth
Dear Silver Springs Families,
I can't believe the month of May is here already! The first week of May is also Teacher Appreciation Week. Please join me in celebrating the amazing teachers at Silver Springs! They are all gold medal winners in my eyes!
I'm looking forward to "Seeing" all the students this week in their Zooms with their teachers. Don't forget to check out the Teacher Appreciation Ideas for those Zoom sessions.

Teacher Appreciation Week!
I think we all have a great admiration for teachers and all they do for our children each day, especially now. Please help us celebrate our AMAZING Silver Springs staff virtually.
Each day this week, we are having a theme for class zooms:
During the week of May 4th, please help us show our appreciation for our teachers and the CHAMPIONS they are.
Monday: Wear Silver Springs gear or your teacher’s FAVORITE team to your ZOOM
Tuesday: Show a picture or a “Thank you” sign to your teacher when you ZOOM
Wednesday: Send your teacher an APPRECIATION email
Thursday: Share family appreciation video with staff
Friday: Act of Kindness—share an act of kindness during your class ZOOMDon't forget to send a picture to kmgifford327@gmail.com to share in our Teacher Appreciation video!!!
Be well,
The Silver Springs PTA

Leader in Me Parent Survey
As a Leader in Me Lighthouse school we are always working to understand how we can improve. Please complete the survey below as part of an annual assessment to help all members of the school community (students, parents, and the adults who work at the school) understand how we're doing. Your responses will provide us with important information to help us become even better. All of your responses are completely anonymous. The survey should take you approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Please try to respond to all items. Thank you!

Math at Home - Family Games
For each grade level, you’ll find math games for home play. We know that resources vary by home, so whenever possible, we’ve provided printable, digital, and “make your own” options.
Games are based on current grade level standards. However, if a game seems too difficult or too easy for your child, take a look at the Change It Up suggestions listed in each game. Or, try a game below or above your child’s grade level. Most importantly, have fun learning and playing together!

An Invitation to Northville's "Virtual" STEAM Fair
For the safety of our school community, the 6th Annual Northville STEAM Fair was cancelled for this year. However, upon learning that many students had continued their projects, a "virtual" fair was created. Please go to http://www.northvillesteamfair.com/ to see the 20 projects that were submitted via video or presentation. They will also be featured on Northville Public School and the Northville Educational Foundation's Facebook Page. Please share so that our students can be showcased in our Northville Schools Community. Thank you to all who participated!
