Unity Day is an opportunity for students to work together to stop bullying. Students will participate in anti-bullying lessons this year. PBIS Comes to the Elementary School
It’s an evidence-based, data-driven framework that has been proven to reduce disciplinary incidents, increase a school’s sense of safety and support and improve academic outcomes.
- The “motto” behind PBIS is that with continual teaching and acknowledgement of positive student behavior, we will ultimately reduce unnecessary discipline and promote a climate of greater productivity, safety and learning.
We have implemented a number of components of PBIS already this year and plan to add more over the next two years.
Lancer Shields: Families may see Lancer Shield Cards coming home. We are recognizing when students are displaying Respectful, Responsible, and Safe behaviors. Names are drawn on Mondays for a picture on the bulletin board of expected behaviors.
Names are drawn weekly for the Lancer Wall of Fame
