MEMORIAL PARKWAY SAFETY REMINDERS
ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL REMINDERS
Parents
- The coned off parts of the streets surrounding the school are there for no parking. Please do not stop to drop off your student or pick them up in this area. It greatly effects traffic which in turn makes it unsafe for our students and staff.
- Be mindful of the arrival and dismissal traffic. Please use the crosswalks and crossing guard when walking into school. We are trying to teach our students the proper way to navigate the outside world.
- Please do NOT park in front of the neighborhood resident's driveway. This is very dangerous for both parties.
Dismissal Reminders
Parents- Be mindful of the arrival and dismissal traffic. Please use the crosswalks and crossing guard when walking into school. We are trying to teach our students the proper way to navigate the outside world.
If you do not have the physical number for the child or children you are picking up, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PICK UP THAT CHILD AT THE WALKER/ BIKER DISMISSAL SPOT OR THE CAR RIDER LINE. A staff member will ask you to go to the front office to pick up that child. You cannot have the number on a cell phone, a picture, or know the number from memory. You will not be allowed to pick up that child without that number physically in your hand.
Please do NOT park in front of the neighborhood resident's driveway. This is very dangerous for both parties.

TITLE ONE INFORMATION
Memorial Parkway Elementary is designated as a Title 1 school. All children in Title I schools benefit from additional technology, staff, and programs. Because there are more adults to help children, all children receive more individualized and small-group instruction. The goal of Title I services is to accelerate academic achievement so that all children meet or exceed state and federal standards of performance.
In addition to these extra supports, we know that parent and family engagement is also key in providing our students the best experience possible. Please read our Title 1 documents here:
