Students Earn Greenhand Degrees
On Tuesday, February 20, seven FFA members earned their Greenhand Degrees. This is the first degree an FFA member can receive in high school. To be eligible for the degree, the student must be enrolled in an agriculture class; have plans for a supervised agricultural experience (SAE); and learn & explain the FFA creed, motto, salute, mission statement, emblem, and colors. They also must demonstrate knowledge of the FFA Code of Ethics and the proper use of the FFA jacket. Once an FFA member has met all these requirements, they must fill out and submit a written application to their FFA advisor.
