Last Chance for a Resume Critique!
Tuesday, January 30: 10 AM – 3 PM, Tate Grand Hall
The UGA Career Center will be coordinating a day-long corporate bus trip from Athens to Atlanta for students to learn more about company culture and career paths. The trip will include stops to two companies, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and The Home Depot. Transportation will be provided. Previous participants have said that trips like this were the most beneficial experience related to their career development. Both companies have opportunities for all majors across job functions, and even if you are not interested in employment at one of these companies, this Career Caravan will provide participants with great insight into the mind of a recruiter, what office spaces might look like, and how to set yourself up for success in the job or internship search. The application will close on January 31st at 11:55 p.m. To apply, visit http://bit.ly/UGACareerCaravan18
Student Spotlight - Scott Yang, Senior MIS Major
"Having recently switched my major to MIS, I realized that many changes must be made to my resume and cover letter. Fortunately, Samantha Perrin at the UGA Career Center was there to help me get started. Not only did she give constructive feedback on my application documents, she also provided me with networking tips which I found invaluable. Thanks to her, I was able to secure numerous offers and will be interning at Grant Thornton's Risk Advisory Services group this upcoming summer!" - Scott Yang, Senior MIS Major
