NED's Mindset Mission assembly
Hello,
As you know we recently hosted an assembly called NED’s Mindset Mission. We trust your student was encouraged by the show which taught about having a positive Mindset for learning and life!
Mindset Mission yoyos are still available for purchase to support the free show and message. If your student has already purchased a yoyo, here is an important link to help them get off to a good start with proper string length adjustment, click here.
Additionally, here are a couple of our favorite follow up home resources from the Mindset Mission website. You may want to use these with your child as they are designed to go hand in hand with the program.
NED Coloring Face Masks
Parent Encouragement Notes
If you'd like additional resources, they are available here.
And don’t forget to ask your student what they learned in the show about having a growth mindset from YET the Yeti, Captain Kindly and during NED’s visit on the spaceship!
Educating together!

😀News from the Counselor😉
We will begin teaching the “Second Step-Child Protection Unit” Personal Safety Curriculum with your child’s classroom the next two weeks. This program, which is part of the district approved personal safety curriculum, teaches children skills to recognize and deal with dangerous situations. It encourages open communication with one’s family and emphasizes family safety rules. Please give me a call or e-mail if you have any questions or concerns.
Yours in supporting our kids,
Taryn Larson

Illness Guidelines Reminders
To help prevent the spread of the flu and other illnesses please help encourage your child to cough or sneeze into a tissue or into their elbow; wash their hands often especially before and after eating or using the restroom; do not share water bottles or food with others; and avoid touching eyes, ears, nose or mouth.
If your child has had a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea in the last 24 hours they need to stay home.
Please keep your child home from school until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours. A fever needs to be gone for 24 hours, with no fever-reducing medication given. (i.e. ibuprofen, acetaminophen, cold medication, naproxen, etc. )
Here are links to the Illness guidelines policy and procedure for your review.
