A letter from Director Smith
Greetings Eagle Family…we miss everyone. But it’s helpful to know that we are all in this together. Whether student or staff there are some things that will help get us through this. Such as…
1. Setting & keeping routines. Getting up & dressed at the same time each day and using the same study times & places (I have two: my desk and my kitchen counter) will help us get more done and be less bored.
2. Eating well. It’s a great time to get off of junk food and learn to make & eat healthy.
3. Exercise daily. Outside is best when we can, but even indoors. It’s about getting the heart rate up and those brain cells stimulated.
4. Mindfullness. Ok Don’t laugh. I know a lot of students don’t enjoy it. But you all know how to do it. Try just 3 minutes per day. Increase it a little bit every few days. You may find that you actually enjoy it. Sometimes it can really help with the stress.
5. Connect with others. We may not be able to get together physically, but we can reach out and communicate with just about anyone at anytime. Speaking of which, have you emailed one of your teachers yet? Here’s an idea…email your mentor teacher and just ask them how they are doing? Good conversation back & forth enriches all of us!

In American football, a team can score in the following ways: 2 points for a safety, 3 points for a field goal, 6 points for a touchdown with no conversion, 7 points for a touchdown with a 1 point conversion, and 8 points for a touchdown with a 2 point conversion.
How many different ways can a team score a total of exactly 24 points?

Keeping You and Your Family Safe.
While we are learning more about this virus every day, there is still much that is unknown at this time. What we do know is that practicing hand hygiene and social distancing is imperative. Social distancing is deliberately increasing the physical space between people to avoid spreading illness. Staying at least six feet away from other people lessens your chances of catching COVID-19. What does this mean for you?
1. Wash your hands as often as you can (Remember to sing the ABC’s or Happy Birthday song)
2. Refrain from large gatherings
3. Be proactive in your health and well-being
4. Practice prevention
Questions About Physicals
Unfortunately, there is a lot of uncertainty with regards to sports at this time. We understand that the acceptance of summer physicals is quickly approaching, and we are hoping to have everything back on schedule by that time. We are working diligently to follow and keep up with the NJSIAA recommendations. We will update you as we get information. In the mean time any questions please feel free to email us and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
