Thank you, Sandy for all you do for your students, families and fellow Social Workers!

Social Worker Spotlight!
Melissa Blackstone, School Social Worker for Flat Rock Community Schools.
Why Social Work?
"I became a social worker because I have always been interested in mental health and social justice. Growing up, I saw the difference a caring adult and teaching skills had for my foster siblings, family members, and friends. I became a social worker to make a difference."
What do you love most about School Social Work?
"I love seeing the growth in the kiddos I work with and their families. I love the high fives in the hallway, the "I did it!" shouts when they see me, and the kids teaching other kids the coping skills we've been working on together. I love the relationships I am able to build with my students, families and co-workers."
