Join us for a celebration of literacy, family, heritage, and diversity!
On April 10th, BPAC is hosting a Multicultural Literacy Night to honor and celebrate the diversity in our school district. Multicultural Literacy Night is an opportunity for our multilingual students, families, faculty, and staff to experience many diverse countries, cultures, and traditions through the lens of literacy. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
Evelyn Sanchez-Toledo
We are thrilled to have children's author, Evelyn Sanchez-Toledo, presenting at this event! She was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and raised in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. She attended Northeastern Illinois University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Education. She has had a varied career including work in the education and insurance industries. She has always enjoyed writing and now that she has retired from teaching, she feels it is the time for her to share her thoughts with others through her books. In the words of Evelyn, "Remember, every day is a good day to learn something new!"
