FFA Senior Spotlight!!
Next up for Senior Spotlight is Kennedy Benjamin!
What is your SAE? “My SAE is Food Preparation & Distribution.”
What role do you play in our chapter? Have you held an officer position? What activities have you been involved in? “I am the sentinel this year. I have competed in Conduct of meetings twice. I made it to state in parliamentary procedure. My food science team got 3rd at state. I also got gold on the green hand test and poultry judging.”
What are your plans for after high school? “I wish I knew.”
How has FFA and ag impacted your future career choice? “It has helped me improve my communication and leadership skills. It has taught me responsibility and the importance of showing up.”
If you could give any advice to an incoming FFA member what would it be? “Just join. We have lots of fun and get free pizza. The worst thing that could happen is you go outside your comfort zone to try a competition.“
Favorite memory of Westwood FFA. “My favorite memory of Westwood FFA would be Ag Day last year. It was a lot of fun teaching the elementary about ag safety.”
