Veteran's Day Parade "Drive-By Style!" Nov. 11th at 2:00
What's happening this Week !
Veteran's Day Drive-by Parade - This Wednesday, November 11th, we will celebrate Veteran's Day. Our usual Veteran's Day Program is filled with speeches, songs, pledges, and so much more. This year, our Veteran's Day Celebration will look a little different. We are going to have a Drive-by Parade. The parade will start at 2:00 p.m. The parade pathway will go in front of our school, work its way to the back, and come back around to the front of the school. (see map) We will be lining up participating cars at 1:45 p.m. next to Wildwood First United Methodist Church. If you have a veteran that would like to participate in the parade, please click here to register.
Clothing Closet - The BBE clinic is running low on extra clothing and shoes. Any donations of new or gently used clothing and shoes are greatly appreciated. Items can be dropped off in the main office during school hours. All items will be quarantined for at least two weeks and sanitized before going into the clothing closet. Thank you in advance, Nurse Barker.
Student Pictures - Student pictures arrived on our campus, Wednesday, November 4th, and they were sent home that day with the students. If you do not like the picture or you were absent on the original picture day, students have the option to retake them. Picture retake day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17th. If you have issues or concerns with your photos, please visit phototexasphotography.com or call 512-671-7780.
Student Facial Coverings - Last week, you received an email from our Superintendent, Dr. Todd Stephens, concerning student facial coverings. Wearing a facial covering for students is encouraged, not required. We are asking parents to complete this survey. The purpose of this survey is to make our teachers and staff more aware of which student is and is not wearing a mask. If you have completed the survey, thank you.

Teacher of the Month - Josh Culp
“Since moving to Magnolia two years ago, I knew this is where I not only wanted to send my two kiddos (Ashlyn BBIS, Aiden BBE) but where I wanted to work as well.” Mr. Culp comes to us from Conroe ISD, after previously working in Aldine ISD for 11 years at the high school at which he graduated from (Eisenhower HS) and Terrell County ISD in west Texas. His wife, Beth, is also a special education teacher and works with visually impaired students in Klein ISD. “I am extremely happy to be a part of not just Magnolia ISD, but also to be a part of such a wonderful family at BBE.”
Staff Member of the Month - Rebecca Peters
Rebecca is married to her best friend, Wes. She is a diehard Astros fan and spends her weekends watching her granddaughters play softball. She is a mother of three grown children and a grandmother of four grandchildren, who call her “Mimi.”
Rebecca Peters has a passion for serving and helping others. She has spent her life with various school systems, ranging from a PTO president, Kindergarten para, front desk receptionist, and a Pre-K teacher. She is a firm believer in “Love first, teach second. She believes that if children know that you love them and accept them, they are more willing and able to learn and grow. “I am so honored to be at Bear Branch and be able to love and teach these precious kiddos. They are our future.
Thank you to my BBE family for selecting me as Staff Member of the Month for November.
