Our Mission: “To share the Good News of Jesus Christ, teach children, and assist parents in training children to be witnessing Christians and productive citizens.”
Weekly Devotion
“Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you
also will live.” John 14:19
Jesus said these words mere hours before His arrest. He would soon be tried, convicted, and
hanged on the cross for the sins of the world. “Yet a little while and the world will see me no
more.” Jesus’ death was necessary, but for those who loved Him, this was difficult to grasp. The
disciples were at peace and comfort, living in the presence of God in Jesus Christ. This was
natural, man was always intended to live in the presence of God since the very beginning. The
disciples had enjoyed friendship with their Savior for years now. But now He is leaving? But He
just got here!
Our eyes may try to convince us that Christ is gone. After all we no longer see Him as the
disciples did. But Christ is not gone, for He says, “You will see me. Because I live, you also will
live.” Christ left in death, but He did not stay dead. He rose from the dead and appeared to the
disciples to show them a new way in which He will be with them and us.
If Christ would have not gone to the cross, then He would have lived, and we would surely die.
Separation! To overcome the separation of our death, Christ had to join us in our death. It
appears as if He is left, but He is actually hold fast to us. When Christ (the Perfect One) entered
our death, He broke it! Death is the result of sin. Therefore, death could not hold the sinless One.
The tomb, in its dying breath, belched out its Conqueror! Christ is living! Alleluia!
Because Jesus lives (risen from the dead), you also will live (risen from the dead). Christ has
bound himself to you through His flesh and blood, that we may be bound to Him in Spirit.
Again, we no longer see Him with our eyes, and that is because He is living in us and through us.
He has given you The Helper, or the Holy Spirit to dwell within you. He is with you a new way,
that He may take you to be with Him forever in Paradise. We are bound to Christ, and He is
bound to us. We will always be in the presence of the Lord. Alleluia! Take comfort in knowing
that Christ has not left you, but that He is always with you! His resurrection is our proof!
He is Risen!
