Kodiak Family Update
09/02/20
From the Principal
Kodiak Family,
There is a great deal of information contained in this newsletter. Please read the newsletter for details regarding laptop distribution and distance learning schedules.
For distance learning in the red category, we will follow our regular bell schedule. The bell schedule can be found in the update.
Students will join each class at the designated time via Microsoft Teams. Class Teams will be activated no later than Tuesday, September 8th by 8:00 am for students to view.
On Tuesday, September 8th students will need to navigate to their advisory class and click on the general channel in Microsoft Teams. The teacher will be there to greet students as they join the class.
Students will remain with their advisory teacher for the first day of school for a distance learning orientation day. Starting on Wednesday, September 9th students will navigate to each of their classes beginning with advisory through 8th period following the normal day bell schedule.
Please note that Wednesday is late start for teacher collaboration.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Go Kodiaks!

If you need assistance accessing PowerSchool, please contact the West Ada Service Desk at 208-350-5300.
How will parents pay for insurance? The district is piloting a software program that will allow payment of optional insurance through an add-in to PowerSchool. Parents can anticipate a short lag (two to three weeks) between acceptance of the insurance and when payment will be required. Once implemented, parents who have requested to obtain optional insurance will receive an email to their primary e-mail address in PowerSchool allowing them to pay their invoice online (there will be a small credit card fee attached to this service) or providing directions for where the check can be sent.
Please read and review the Parent and Student One-to-One Device Handbook.
