Week 2 Notes
This week, we are well into our daily routines and students are becoming comfortable with the flow of the day. One tool all classrooms at SES are using to build their classroom communities is a morning meeting. Morning meetings are popular strategy used to welcome students into the day, give them all an opportunity to share a little about their lives, and help develop important social skills. I included a short article in the button below that outlines what a morning meeting all entails.
Question of the Week
This week, I encourage you to ask your child about his or her morning meeting. You might want to ask "What greeting did you do in your morning meeting?" or "What was your favorite morning activity so far this year?" Hopefully, you'll learn a little bit more about how we're developing our classroom communities this year.
