MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear CMS Families,
To ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment, we offered students eclipse glasses and viewing screens throughout the day. Additionally, our dedicated science teachers held a raffle for Solar Eclipse kits, rewarding students who filled out a Google Form about the eclipse. Thank you to our science team for their efforts in making this event educational and engaging for our students.
As you step outside to witness this awe-inspiring event, please remember to take necessary precautions and protect your eyes by using the safety eclipse glasses.
OST TESTING
Students will begin taking the Ohio State Tests during the week of April 15. Specifically, all students will be taking the English Language Arts (ELA) assessment during that week.
To ensure your child is well-prepared for these assessments, please help them by ensuring they:
- Get plenty of rest the night before each test.
- Eat a nutritious breakfast to fuel their minds and bodies for the day.
- Bring a fully charged Chromebook to school on testing days.
- Encourage them to put forth their best effort and stay focused during the assessments.
Enjoy our extended weekend!
Mr. Tomco

CHARDON GOES TO THE MUSICALS
Chardon Goes to the Musicals is excited to announce ticket sales for Back to the Future and MJ. Money is due to Crescendo Club via Elizabeth Fullerman by Tuesday, April 16. Tickets will be distributed prior to the end of school.
Cleveland's own Playhouse Square is the second-largest theater district outside of Broadway. Over the years, Chardon Goes to the Musicals has sold hundreds of tickets. A reminder this is not a fundraiser, but simply a way for community members to obtain tickets at discounted prices.
FROM NUTRITION SERVICES
Going forward, if your child's account is more than $10 in the red, they will only be able to get lunch. Breakfast will not be served to them. If you have a large outstanding debt, please send your child to school with breakfast in the morning. To add money to your child's account, log on to Infinite Campus and look at your balances. You can pay lunch fees in a number of ways:
1. Online right in IC with a credit card.
2. With cash given to the lunch ladies in the kitchen.
Please do not send large sums of cash to school with your child.
