March
Delgado's Notes
We are off to a great start for the month of March. Our Frost Family Meeting will be held on March 1st were our monthly theme, Be Motivated, will be introduced. During our meeting students will learn about the theme and how we will use the activities planned for the month to demonstrate the positive affects of positive motivation. Last month we were able to celebrate our school's rich diversity. Our Diversity night was a huge success. A special thank you to all of the families that volunteered to share information about their culture. I appreciate everyone who came out to support and engage in this amazing experience. The Multi-Cultural committee did a great job planning and implementing this event. Go Frost!!
Frost students displayed their talents on February 16th in the play, The Ballard of Goodbye Gultch. Our students did a tremendous job in front of a packed house. Thank you to our PTA for hosting another successful Theater Week. Our students had a great time and experience!!

March is here and filled with school climate events! First up is RAA, then Career Day on 3/20/24 and finally, World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) 3/21/24. Career Day is a fantastic opportunity for students to explore and gain insights into exciting careers paths. We plan to have parent volunteers share about their different job roles and skills required for success. We will also compile a list of online resources, books, and activities for each grade level to help students continue their career exploration journey.
WDSD, observed globally on March 21, is a day to celebrate the lives and achievements of individuals with Down Syndrome. Here are some ways we will participate:
Crazy Socks Campaign: Wear colorful and mismatched socks on WDSD to raise awareness. Socks may seem small, but they get people talking! As a buddy class activity, students will decorate crazy socks to highlight our differences. We will collect the cut-out decorated socks and hang them to be displayed. We will also have read alouds and awareness lessons available to our teachers to share with their classes. Together we create a supportive and inclusive community.
