Leonardo Da Vinci's Biography
Leonardo Da Vinci was born on April 15, 1442 in Vinci, Italy. Durring his child hood he was exposed to the family tradition of painting, he was well educated and by the age of 15, his father apprenticed him to regain the workshop of Andrea Del Verrocchio in Florence Italy. As the years went on Leonardo spent more and more of his time inside art, architecture, engineering, and inventing. An invention he designed was the helicopter, a painting was the Mona Lisa. The drawings he made were the designs of his creations. He had many patrons that supported him with his art, for instance his patrons were: Cesare Borgia, Giuliano de' Medici, France's King Farancis 1, The House of Medici, and finally Isabelle d'Este.
The "Isms" he represented.
The second "Ism" is Secularism. How he represented this is by questioning everything, he started the revolution of science. He strayed from the original science to a new and improved science.
Mona Lisa
The painting to me is a very majestic and amazing painting. Words aren't even enough to explain the painting. The Ism that is represented in this painting is Humanism, the reason it is humanism is because it's focused on humans and not a god. I chose this painting because it's amazing. Also the woman in the painting has a mysterious smile that makes me wonder, what was Leonardo thinking while he painted this?
