From the Principal
Dear Parents-
Happy Friday! It is the day we have all been waiting for, CCES Spirt Night at Milton High School. I hope to see you all at 6:50 p.m. by the ticket gate and then we will proceed with your children down to the field to be recognized. Please look for me and we will return students to the same location. Also, don’t forget to wear CCES spirit gear and the game is “camo-out” so you can wear camo if you would like!
Last Friday I was able to announce to our teachers a big surprise! CCES has been named a Teacher’s College Lab School through Columbia University for our work with Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop. We were one of only four schools selected in Fulton. This is such an amazing accomplishment and a testimony to our teachers and their dedication to this hard work! This means our teachers will receive ten days of staff development through professionals from New York and the cost is covered. They will train in our school and our students will be a part of this work. Please see a photo on the left below from last Friday’s celebration!
I want to thank everyone who assisted us at hands-on day this past Saturday. It was hot and messy, but we got so much accomplished! Special thanks to Cory Kelsh who always organizes this entire event. Also, thanks to our girl and boy scout troops who participated. Please see two photos on the right below!

Thank you to our 2016 Vision & Hearing Screening Volunteers!
I would like to issue a very special Thank You and recognition to all of the parents who assisted with our 2016 Vision & Hearing Screenings. Volunteers spent either a ½ day or whole day working to ensure we could complete this mandatory task in an efficient manner, minimizing the amount of time students needed to spend out of the classroom.
I cannot express enough how grateful I am for your time and commitment. Volunteers included: Jamie Emry, Tara Robertson, Rossy Finol-Bishop, Gwen Gillen, Lidia Margarita Davis, Ivona Walker, Rhonda McMichael, Jen Mikels, Tara Spolan, Georgia Hine, Erin Hobbs, Michelle Davis, Allison Marques, Lauri Goodling, Michelle Cardillo, Allison Dabney, Rick Littlefield, Leigh Runner, Flavia Bomk, Amutha Anand Kumar, and Sheila Souza. Thank you again! We couldn’t be as successful as we are without your continued support!
