RES Spring Newsletter
April 29th, 2024
Dear RES Families,
May is right around the corner, and typically brings exuberant weather and thoughts of summer! It is a great reminder to absolutely look forward to what lies ahead, while also remembering to stay present. There is still extensive learning happening in each classroom daily. Students are learning new skills and proudly demonstrating their mastery of the older ones they have learned this year. These next seven weeks are sure to go by quickly, and I look forward to the memories made along the way.
Qualia Parent Voice Survey:
Thank you to all families who filled out the Quaglia survey last month. As it turned out, close to 60% of available households completed the survey. That is certainly something to celebrate. Along those same lines, there are certain data points that our school community as a whole can be proud of.
100%- I feel welcome in my child’s school
100%- I am proud of my child’s school
100%- My child is a valued member of the school community
100%- My child has friends at school
100%- If I have a problem with my child’s school, someone at school is available to help me
100%- Teachers at my school make learning exciting
100%- My child has opportunities to be creative at school
100%- My child wants to do their best at school
Once again, thank you for taking the time to fill this annual survey out. This gives everyone a chance to celebrate what is going well, and receive honest feedback about where we can grow.
Outstanding Effort from 3/4 Graders During Cognia Testing:
We want to commend our 3rd and 4th graders for their exemplary performance during the recent Cognia testing. They demonstrated exceptional preparation and worked diligently to showcase their skills and knowledge. Their commitment reflects not only their hard work but also the dedication of our teachers and staff in providing a supportive learning environment. We are incredibly proud and commend them for their perseverance and focus during this important assessment.

Spring Clean Up Day on May 3 - Volunteers Wanted
As spring blooms around us, we're gearing up for our annual Spring Clean Up Day scheduled for May 3 from 1:00-2:30. We're still in need of parent volunteers who are willing to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand in beautifying our school grounds. Whether you're a green-thumbed gardener or simply eager to pitch in, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Together, we can ensure our school environment remains vibrant and welcoming for everyone. Please contact the school office if you're able to volunteer your time on this day.
PTO Souper Supper:
The recent PTO Souper Supper event was a resounding success! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and delicious soups to make this event a memorable one. It was heartwarming to see our school community come together in support of our students and their educational experiences.
Gratitude to Parent Volunteers
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the parents who generously volunteered their time last week and this week to assist during recess and lunch times. Your presence and support help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all our students during these breaks. We are grateful for your dedication and commitment to our school community.
