Recognition of award-winning student artists
Prosper ISD proudly celebrates the achievement of two students whose artwork has been chosen for the prestigious Youth Art Month Spring Exhibition in Austin. Among approximately 100 selected artworks statewide, those of Sarah Campbell from RHHS and Olivia Crooks from PHS shine brightly at the Bullock Museum throughout March. Their creative talents, nurtured under the guidance of dedicated teachers like Crimson Scott from RHHS and Aimee Hinshaw from PHS, exemplify the district's commitment to fostering artistic excellence and innovation. Congratulations to Sarah, Olivia, and their inspiring teachers for this well-deserved recognition on a statewide platform.
Prosper ISD is elated to announce a historic achievement as all eight artworks submitted for the statewide TASA/TASB Show have been selected for exhibition. Recognition of award-winning student athletes
The State Wrestling Championships witnessed an extraordinary triumph as Hadyn Stine of Rock Hill High School secured the Gold Medal in the 145-Pound Weight Class. With a remarkable 39-2 record throughout the 2023-2024 season, Stine's prowess on the mat was unmatched. Notably, she made history as the first female wrestler from RHHS to advance to the finals, and subsequently, became the first State Champion in Wrestling for RHHS. This monumental achievement not only showcases Stine's exceptional talent and dedication but also reflects the outstanding coaching provided by Kortney Livingston. Stine's victory is a testament to her relentless determination and the supportive environment fostered by her coach and team at RHHS.
The State Swim and Dive Championships witnessed an outstanding performance by Prosper High School athlete Jacob Wimberly, who clinched the Gold in the 100 Yard Butterfly event. Wimberly's remarkable achievement didn't stop there; he also set a new 6A State Record, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport. With an impressive record of being named a 16-time NISCA (National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association) All-American, Wimberly's dominance in the pool is undeniable. Credit is also due to the guidance and coaching provided by Chris Stroh, whose mentorship undoubtedly played a pivotal role in Wimberly's success. Wimberly's triumph not only highlights his individual excellence but also brings pride to the PHS swim and dive team and the entire Prosper community.
