Primary ELAR Training Opportunities
Guided Reading: October 20 am, October 20 pm, October 27 am, November 4 am, November 4 pm
Participants will learn the framework of a guided reading lesson and how they can
support comprehension and fluency throughout each lesson. We will explore how to
expand the readers’ ability to think about the text, within the text, and beyond the text.
Read Alouds with Accountable Talk: November 10 am, November 11 am, November
Participants will learn how to plan an effective Read Aloud that will excite students about
reading while learning skills and vocabulary that will move the student to a deeper level of meaning/understanding of text.
