1st Day of School
I wanted to wish everyone a great 1st day of school. We are looking forward to seeing everyone! Below you will find a few notes to help the first day run smoothly.
See you tomorrow!
Get Some Sleep!
A great way to help middle school students fall asleep when they are restless is to place a book in their hands. This will help them relax and gear down for the night. It works for me!
Student Schedules
All students will receive a new copy of their schedule in their homeroom tomorrow. We are hoping that all schedule concerns, conflicts, and errors have been resolved. Review your child's schedule when they return, and communicate with us If any have not been resolved.
Our scheduling team is very good at what they do, but we do make errors occasionally. Our goal is to correct any errors as soon as possible.
Returning School-Related Paperwork
During Homeroom on Thursday, students will recieve a decent amount of information. Please take an opportunity to carefully review the information that we are sending home and discuss this information as family. The forms listed below must be signed and/or initialed and returned to Homeroom teachers.
Census Verification

"Jumpy" Permission Form
Our goal is to have ALL forms returned by Friday, August 9th. Each HR will earn 25 points for their House once all students return their forms. The first HR on each grade level to have all forms returned will earn 50 points for their House!
Updated Vaping Policy
Arriving and Leaving Campus
The first few days of school always presents challenges with traffic, arriving at school on time, and the dismissal process.
Morning Arrival
As you arrive at the front curve, please pull all the way forward before letting your student(s) out. If we are all letting our student(s) out at the front door, we are only able to empty 3 or 4 cars at a time. If we pull all the way forward, we can double the amount of students being let out of cars and speed up the process.
Afternoon Dismissal
Please be patient with us through the afternoon dismissal process. There is additional information about that process along with a map, below. We will work with our transportation department to release buses as soon as they are loaded. Our goal is to make sure that every student makes it home safely, and our procedures always take a little bit longer the first few days of school.
Overall, if sitting in traffic is not your idea of a good time, I want to encourage you to utilize the bus. Our Transportation Department provides a great service with outstanding, experienced drivers who are very good at what they do.
Below, you will find information for "Here Comes The Bus", an app that will allow you the opportunity to track your student(s) bus. You will also find a link that will help you identify your student's bus stop location, bus number, and pick-up/drop-off times.
Car-Rider Route
All car riders will be dismissed to the front of the school at 3:35pm. Once all car riders have exited the building, we will call for bus riders to report to the bus-port. Once busses are loaded, we will pause the car-rider line to allow busses an opportunity to leave campus.
We understand that waiting in a car-rider line is never convenient, but we are asking that all car-riders be picked up at the front of the school and follow our established dismissal procedures. Please do not park in the front parking lot and ask your students to cross the car-rider line. Staff members on duty have been instructed to not allow students to cross over to the parking lot. When parents follow our established procedures, they contribute to supporting the safety plan of the school.
Use the information and map below for a detailed view of our traffic pattern. Staff members will be on hand to help you. Orange cones will be used to establish our traffic routes.
Red Line - All incoming traffic will follow this line all the way to the back of the school. If you enter campus from the entrance closest to Highway 120, you will eventually merge with traffic that entered campus from the entrance closest to East Paulding Drive.
Blue Line - Once you make the turn in the cul de sac in the back of the building, you will follow the blue line to the front of the building.
Green Area - Students who are car-riders will load in this area. This is the only location where car-riders will be allowed to load. Administrators and teachers will be on duty to help with this process.
Blue Line - Once your student(s) is loaded, you will exit the campus through the southern most intersection. All exiting traffic will utilize this intersection during afternoon dismissal.
