On behalf of the teachers, staff, and Academic Policy Board of Eagle Academy, I want to thank you for the hundreds of hours you have spent working with your students at home this school year.
We know that many of you have made tough choices, sacrificed income, rearranged work schedules, and set aside personal hobbies, to become de facto educators. All the hard work, sweat, and tears have paid off. Over the past two days, I've seen students reciting phonograms, correctly identifying rules, writing in their spelling dictation notebooks, reading passages, and solving math problems, many as if we've been in-person all along.
While we do have some ground to cover between now and the end of the year, the teachers and I know that your dedication to getting the work done at home has made all the difference in the world.
Sincerely,
Principal Carroll

The Eagle Academy Academic Policy Board (APB) is accepting applications to fill our vacant Community Member position – Seat G.
Being a charter school, we have the unique opportunity to have our own governing body, which is the Academic Policy Board. The Academic Policy Board is responsible for creating school policy, approving and monitoring the school's budget, setting and monitoring goals for the program, selecting curriculum that aligns with EACS standards, overseeing the implementation of Eagle Academy's program, ensuring adherence to the school's charter and policies, hiring/evaluating/supervising the principal, and participating in staff interviews - all in accordance with the school's Charter and Bylaws.
The Academic Policy Board consists of seven (7) members: four parents, one community member at large and two teachers of Eagle Academy. The parent positions must be filled by parents of students currently attending Eagle Academy and may not be filled by teachers, permanent staff members, or long-term temporary staff members of Eagle Academy. The community member may be a parent or classified employee but may not be a certificated staff member.
Please see the attached application for more details, or contact an APB member (contact info listed at bottom of newsletter) with any questions.
If interested, please return the application by email to v.m.hall@outlook.com by Sunday, 1/31.
ROOM PARENTS NEEDED
The PTO is looking for more ways to keep our families informed during this pandemic. We are looking for one parent from each grade level to serve as the classroom parent. Your role as the classroom parent would be working with the PTO and that grade level teacher to share information with the families of that grade level.
If you would like to help, please contact Heather Milligan via phone or text at (774)254-1238 or email at hmilligan8@gmail.com
